Join us for the first public presentation of ASA, the Advocacy Society for the Arts. A newly forming foundation that works to connect the creative sector to government, lobby for cultural policy reform, and develop cultural diplomacy. ASA is in the process of building the network, and FORUM is an opportunity to learn more deeply about the foundation and its objectives, as well as the new online tool that will enable cultural collaboration and access to funds.
Podcasts have emerged as a powerful medium to foster new avenues for artistic expression and engage global audiences. Podcastle has become a global leader in podcast production, with their visionary tool that democratizes the production process. Arsen will share perspectives and insights on how podcasts reshape the landscape of creative industries and expand artistic boundaries. He will contribute to the forum's objectives of exploring new possibilities that emerge in cross-sectorial collaborations for a thriving creative economy of Armenia.

How does cultural policy, and specifically, legislation support sustainable culture? Panelists will explore the legal mechanisms that enable, or inhibit economic prosperity for the Arts. Key issues include intellectual property rights, philanthropy law, tax reform, and incentivization mechanisms for funds to culture. The ethics and implications of these legal mechanisms will also be addressed.

In Ragnar’s keynote, he will explore the dual nature of the cultural and creative sector, and touch upon the fundamental ecosystem needs for economic prosperity: policy, export, funding schemes, and human capital development.
About Ragnar Siil: Ragnar Siil serves as the Founder and Director of Creativity Lab, a prominent think tank and consultancy specializing in cultural policy and creative industries within the Baltic Sea region. He has provided strategic counsel to governments, cultural institutions, and creative enterprises on policy and strategy formulation across more than 30 countries.
Ragnar has coordinated the drafting of Estonian national cultural policies Culture 2020 and Culture 2030. He is currently involved in a EU-funded large-scale initiative ekip - European Cultural and Creative Industries Innovation Policy Platform. Ragnar is a former Estonian Undersecretary of Arts, chair of the European Union expert group on cultural and creative sectors, and Key Expert in the EU-Eastern Partnership Culture and Creativity Programme.
What is the role of international agencies, foundations, and enabling institutions in the development of the cultural field? Key topics include the role of the diaspora in shaping international cultural diplomacy, and how international foreign policy shapes cultural programs for international agencies. Panelists will look at how coordinating strategies can support more impactful investments, as well as better exchange on a global scale.
